Gabriella is Italian. But she’s a bit Czech, too. London is where she lives and Brent is what she calls home. Gabriella is the Station Manager of Life FM 103.6, Brent’s one and only radio station (myspace.com/lifefm1036 or www.lifefm.org.uk). She’s a journalist and has written about Italian music on various Italian newspapers and magazines; that’s why she produces and presents The Italian Job, a little taster of contemporary Italian tracks, from top of the charts singles currently on air play in Italy to lesser known bands who deserve to go up the popularity ladder. This show is all about Italy and its current music scene, beyond stereotypes and cliches, with real news, curious facts and great music. The Italian Job from this week onwards ventures into a virtual journey over an Italian city, looking at its culture and its music scene.

We obviously HAD to start from Torino, not so much my home town but the city that holds a piece of my football-filled heart!! Yep, Torino is the city of Torino Football Club, referred to as TORO amongst supporters and friends. The 4th of May marks a sad anniversary for any supporter like me... But Torino is also home to gianduiotti, exquisite little chocolates, the closest you'll probably get to heaven through sweets! Torino has also a very vibrant artistic feel to it and music-wise, well, there's a bit for any taste, really.
